SecuGen RDSERVICE Discovery

RDSERVICE (L0) runs on port range of 11100 to 11120 and is identified by scanning ports in that range. RDSERVICE from a specific device provider can be identified using info attribute in XML returned as a response to http request made using special verb RDSERVICE. Once RDSERVICE is discovered then device information is returned by call to RDSERVICE using verb DEVICEINFO. Information returned describes device model in use, Provider Identification, RDSERVICE id and version along with other information. Important information that can be useful for tracking devices used in specific application is device serial number and device code (DC).

RDSERVICE Service CAPTURE demonstration

Captures one or more fingerprint samples and returns encrypted PID DATA to the application. Calling application must pass valid PIDOPTS XML as argument to this call. This call is made using verb CAPTURE. As per UIDAI specifications RDSERVICE never returns fingerprint image or clear ISO template to calling application, this data is signed by provider and encrypted as per UIDAI specifications. Ensure that RDSERVICE is READY before making CAPTURE call.

SecuGen Device ReInit / Activation and Key rotation

Every device used in AADHAAR eco system MUST be registered with UIDAI auth server, we call this action as activating the device. This function is performed automatically when supported device is identified by RDSERVICE. In most cases Activating is not required to be performed by user, in rare cases when activation must be done manually, this option can be used. If you see Device Code on the screen, the device is already activated and you mostly do not need to activate the device manually.

Device code

RDSERVICE rotates device keys every 30 days and you should not require to rotate the keys manually. In case you must get new keys then this options allows you to rotate keys and get new ones valid for next 30 days.

Reinitilizes RDSEVICE, this option clears all existing data
